Pakistan Emergency Food Security Alliance 4 (PEFSA-4)

Considering the food insecurity and damages to livelihood sources, there is an urgent need to scale up the cash interventions in PEFSA targeting UCs in district Rajanpur to 2013 case load, while continuing the assistance to population affected in 2012 floods. It is proposed to extend CCG assistance to additional 2,000 vulnerable beneficiaries especially women to meet their immediate food and other priority needs. Similar cash support is proposed to be extended to existing 2,164 beneficiaries as they got affected again due to 2013 floods in district Rajanpur with additional payment of 4th month to provide extended support. The three months assistance of new CCG is proposed to be provided in two installments. A total of 1,170 new beneficiaries affected by floods 2013 in Rajanpur district shall be reached through combined savings of Euro 300,000 from all PEFSA partners.

To provide a coordinated humanitarian response to improve food security and access to nutrition services

Outcomes:

Most vulnerable households have improved access to adequate quantity and quality of food through increased purchasing power and production.

Improved access to nutrition services through CMAM and IYCF interventions
