Abida said that she didn’t pay attention to adequate intake of nutritious food during pregnancy; and at the same time lacking critical knowledge on supplementary feeding. Now she is unable to nurse her child with proper breastfeeding. Her husband is casual laborer and earns a smaller income which is insufficient to meet the food
expenses. With tears in eyes, Abida said that her entire family life is badly affected by the crises. She was well
settled in her native place, but this displacement has ruined everything. She participated in health and hygiene session and after that she realized the importance of breastfeeding for her child. She further shared that her family is not registered with the government and has not received any assistance from the government so far.

“I am thankful to CARE for the cash assistance. With this I’ll improve my dietary intake. I will buy
supplementary feed for my daughter and take her for a medical checkup”.
